The Court granted final approval to the Anthem class action settlement, as amended, on August 15, 2018, and on August 16, 2018 entered judgment and awarded attorneys' fees and service awards. No settlement benefits, including credit services, alternative compensation, or fraud resolution services, will be available until after the Effective Date. Because several individuals have appealed the Court's final approval of the settlement and award of attorneys' fees, the settlement is not yet effective, and no settlement benefits are currently available. Settlement benefits will only be available after the appeals are resolved. There is no way to predict when the appeals will be resolved. Please be patient, and check back on this website to see when the appeals are resolved. The deadline for filing a claim for credit monitoring or alternative compensation has passed, but Settlement Class Members may still file claims for Out-of-Pocket costs until August 16, 2019, by clicking here.
The Settlement Agreement has now been modified so that after the Settlement Fund pays for four years of Credit Monitoring and all of the other claims, costs, and fees described in the Settlement Agreement, any Settlement Funds remaining will be used:
